Tax Supervisor - Hybrid (Tues-Thurs Onsite)

Location: Wakefield, MA

Salary: $105,000-$120,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)

Our client, a local law firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join their team. This is a hybrid position, with in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Plan and schedule client engagements and coordinate resources effectively
  • Review complex tax returns and supporting workpapers for accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct and document tax research on various issues and provide recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and guidance
  • Communicate regularly with team members regarding engagement status and deliverables
  • Provide training, direction, and mentoring to junior staff
  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise across relevant tax areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience with progressive responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance standards
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem fx Tax, and CCH Axcess Tax
